.Grupo:Magna PowertrainMission of the Position:Supplier Development Engineer (SQDE) ensures process standardization with respect to launch programs by supporting SQDE projects principally in Magna Powertrain (MPT) North America (NA) Driveline Systems. The individual will ensure compliance whicusing awless launch initiativr MPT NA Driveline System Programs.Key Responsibilities:Conduct various supplier related audits on potential, new and current suppliers to Magna Powertrain:Supplier Capability Assessments, Run-at-Rates, Manufacturing Capability Audits, Control Plan Audits, etc., and take necessary actions as required.Monitor supplier performance (Incidents, PPMs, COPQ) and develop / implement effective action plans to improve poor performing suppliers.Ability to identify supplier improvements (process, system, etc.) and ensure effective actions are taken to improve KMIsIssue supplier performance PCs allow through to completion.Disposition supplier PPAPs and 8Ds (5-Why).Manage Cost Recovery process with suppliers.Support manufacturing locations on supplier related performance issues (conduct 8D verification, review containment process).Conduct supplier procedure / process type Confidencial and awareness activities with suppliers (SRM, PPAP, etc.).Support new program launches, supplier localization, resourcing projects, etc.Practice and maintain integrity whillowing Magnas Charter and Constitution.Follow Magnas Code of Conduct and Ethics and related compliance policies.Supports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established management system (IATF).Drive the development of new technologies to improve, efficiency and reduce cost.Comply with safety policies and procedures to ensure duties of self are performed in a safe manner.Health & Safety responsibilities:Understand applicable Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures in the workplace.Report unsafe conditions immediately.Report injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses, property damage immediately.Follow safety rules.Comply withrequiremenr the use or operation of machines or equipment.Comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.Create a positive work environment by demonstrating and sharinctional/technical knowledge.Develop and maintain a responsive and cooperative working relationship with internal and rnal customers.Treat everyone with dignity, trust and respect.Complete additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.The above is intended to describe the general content of and the requiremenr the performance of this position.
