Drawing inspiration from its rich heritage as an inventor company, Baker Hughes harnesses the passion and expertise of its people to improve productivity throughout the entire oil and gas value chain.Partner with the bestAs a SQL Database Administrator, you will be responsible for:Utilizing shell scripting and PowerShell to automate SQL Server administration tasks, including backup processes, performance monitoring, and routine maintenance activities.Implementing and managing cloud DevOps automation tools and pipelines to streamline database deployments, updates, and infrastructure management in cloud environments.Working with database and application teams to design database architectures and develop a robust support model, ensuring alignment with application requirements and business goals.Overseeing and managing SQL Server licensing, ensuring compliance with vendor agreements and optimizing license usage to meet organizational needs and budgetary constraints.Installing, configuring, and maintaining SQL Server instances, including SQL Server clustering, replication, and Always On.Monitoring database performance, implementing performance tuning, and optimizing SQL queries.Planning and executing database backups, restoration, and disaster recovery plans.Implementing and managing database security (user roles, permissions, data encryption).Ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements regarding data security and privacy.Planning and executing data migrations, including version upgrades and data conversions.Implementing and managing data integration solutions using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) or similar ETL tools.Maintaining comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and policies.Generating and analyzing reports on database performance, usage, and issues.Fuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).A minimum of 7-8 years of professional working experience.Proven experience with SQL Server versions [2016 & above], in supporting high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions, including clustering, replication, and Always On Availability Groups.Strong knowledge of SQL Server architecture, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.Expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting database issues.Proficiency in T-SQL scripting and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).Experience with backup and recovery strategies, as well as security management (roles, permissions, encryption).Familiarity with PowerShell and shell scripting for automation.Knowledge of cloud-based SQL solutions (e
