Partner with the best As a SQL Database Administrator, you will be responsible for:
Utilizing shell scripting and PowerShell to automate SQL Server administration tasks, including backup processes, performance monitoring, and routine maintenance activitiesImplementing and managing cloud DevOps automation tools and pipelines to streamline database deployments, updates, and infrastructure management in cloud environmentsWorking with database and application teams to design database architectures and develop a robust support model, ensuring alignment with application requirements and business goalsOverseeing and managing SQL Server licensing, ensuring compliance with vendor agreements and optimizing license usage to meet organizational needs and budgetary constraintsInstalling, configuring, and maintaining SQL Server instances, including SQL Server clustering, replication, and Always OnMonitoring database performance, implementing performance tuning, and optimizing SQL queriesPlanning and executing database backups, restoration, and disaster recovery plansImplementing and managing database security (user roles, permissions, data encryption)Ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements regarding data security and privacyPlanning and executing data migrations, including version upgrades and data conversionsImplementing and managing data integration solutions using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) or similar ETL toolsMaintaining comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and policiesGenerating and analyzing reports on database performance, usage, and issues Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).A minimum 7-8 years of professional working experience.Proven experience with SQL Server versions [2016 & above], in supporting high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions, including clustering, replication, and Always On Availability GroupsStrong knowledge of SQL Server architecture, including installation, configuration, and maintenanceExpertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting database issuesProficiency in T-SQL scripting and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)Experience with backup and recovery strategies, as well as security management (roles, permissions, encryption)Familiarity with PowerShell and shell scripting for automationKnowledge of cloud-based SQL solutions (eg, Azure SQL Database)Understanding of DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD pipelines for database deploymentFluent in English; Portuguese and Spanish are desirable.
