Join us to be part of meaningful change.**Summary**The Senior Accountant will reside in Mexico and support the books for Mexico and liaise with the US Accounting team. The Senior Accountant will ensure compliance with Mexican tax laws, IFRS and US GAAP Accounting.**Primary responsibilities include**:- Accounts Payable:- Enforce the Company's Purchasing and Expense Policy- Assist with vouchering invoices in the payment portal and inventory management system- Assist with reviewing invoices for proper coding and service/product delivery prior to payment- Reconcile accounts payable- Tax Filings- Assist with Federal and State tax filings- Assist with VAT filing and reconcile VAT receivable- Research VAT receivable and seek refund- Intercompany- Reconcile monthly intercompany account- Invoice the US parent company for monthly cost/plus invoice and post entry- Close Activities- Accrue for expenses not vouchered in AP- Perform an expense trend analysis for accrual- Quarter-end and year-end close: reach out to significant vendors and department managers to ensure all expenses are captured for the period- Ad-hoc Activities- Run reports and research issues as requested- Support audits as needed- Return of IVA balances- Answering SAT requirements**Requirements**:- Language: English/Spanish- Knowledge of Mexican tax rules, IFRS and US GAAP- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Taxes or related field.- Knowledge of LISR and LIVA.- Knowledge of MS, OFFICE, TRESS, CONTPAC. And/or other Software used by the Company
