**Job Title**
Sr Accounting Specialist
**Position Purpose**
Senior Accounting Analyst validates the integrity of ALLDATA transactions performed and verifies that they are duly recorded in books and supported according to financial, tax and legal requirements.
Ensures fixed assets and payroll records balance integrity and that they are recorded in accordance with both countries' regulations.
As well supports with any recurrent transactions and special projects implementation including compliance.
**Primary Accountabilities**:
- Accounting
- Determination/reviews and ensures that financial information is duly recorded in books and its integrity for managerial decision making.
Reviews and elaborates written processes and internal controls require to ensure correct recordings, calculations and approvals.
Elaborate accruals and account reconciliations.
Update processes when required.
- Tax Calculations - monthly and annual tax payment calculation.
He/She should have high level understanding of monthly tax determination including electronic accounting and its implementation, electronic invoices, importation duties applicable to tax payments, reconciled and validate accounting and tax records, Update and validate tax compliance Reforms.
Coordinate tax requirements when needed.
- Compliance
- Reviews compliance information delivered for internal and external clients, such as: internal and external auditors requirements, annual informative returns, transfer pricing reports, tax opinion I/C information to be reported, I/C information for statutory reporting and Ministry of Economy information.
- XLM Files
- Reviews xml file reconciliation of invoices, complemento de pago and follow ups with IT to duly comply.
- Coordinates and reviews information to be delivered to external clients, such as: recordings and reports for Mexico statutory purposes including depreciation, fixed assets net cost balances, F/A retirement cost for US and MX purposes.
- Payroll-Review all the determinations related to the employees - payroll, IMSS, INFONAVIT, Impuesto Sobre Nóminas, employees' benefits, seniority premium and provisions, among others.
Validate payroll stamping is properly made.
When needed supports with payroll process.
- Payments
- Supports with local vendors payments processing, including legal contract follow ups, CIRA, validate 69-B, REPSE, among other tax requirements until final payment is completed.
- Tax and Accounting projects - Coordinates and Leads any recurrent and special projects required.
**Education & Experience**
Level of Formal Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.
Area of Study: Accounting (MEX GAAP, IFRS and USGAAP), Transfer pricing, Internal Control and Corporate Finance, Accounting Taxes
Years of Experience: Five to seven years.
Type of Experience: General accounting experience with preference in shared service centers and retail industry, annual and monthly federal tax calculations, transfer pricing regulations and Fixed Assets Accounting rules.
Deferred taxes calculation.
Tax depreciation calculation.
Experience in writing tax requirements notices.
Special Certifications or Technical Skills: Fluent English (TOEFL 550 or above).
Transfer princing, tax and accounting courses.
Accounting ERP experience, MS Office, and reporting capabilities.
Knowledge of Income Tax, VAT and other federal taxes; analysis of deferred taxes, computer literate in Excel spreadsheet manipulation.
Other / Preferred: Strong organization skills (leadership, detail oriented, analytical and communication skills).
Continues study and updated of tax and accounting regulations Advanced computer skills and strong english skills.
