Honeywell Buildings Automation (BA) is looking for a talented Sr. Advanced Embedded Systems Engineer who will
design and develop embedded software for Security Intrusion Detection devices, in different software layers, from
development, test and evaluation of the prototypes from initial engineering samples to mass production. Also, you will
aid in the design and development of new devices to retrofit existing systems to fulfill the needs of Honeywell's customers.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, develop, code, test and debug embedded Linux systems.
- Design and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with global teams for embedded systems design and development.
- Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of embedded systems resources.
- Review code, identify patterns and code structure, modify it for bug fixes and new requirements.
- Deriving hardware design requirements from system-level specifications.
- Estimating hardware design tasks, identifying risks and planning development.
- Assist and support Mech and EE CAD teams or design teams in schematic designs and PCB layout
developments.
- Assess third-party software.
**You must have**
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent or relevant
work experience.
- Experience in Embedded product design and development.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in embedded systems development in a multi-disciplinary
system that includes hardware, firmware, software and communication protocols (wired or wireless).

- Intermediate to high-level expertise in TCP/IP communications, network devices, routing of packets, socket
programming, secure communications over TLS.
- Hands-on coding and debugging experience in C language for firmware development involving embedded
systems.
- Knowledge of product specific regulatory standards (UL/FCC/EN).
- Excellent knowledge in designing digital and analog embedded hardware circuits.
- Excellent knowledge in using different type of sensors and interfaces with Microcontroller/Processors.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong sense of ownership and drive; someone who is self-motivated and can work with little supervision,
who consistently takes the initiative to get things done.
- Good analytical thinking, troubleshooting & problem-solving skills, coupled with the drive to learn.
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English.
**We value**
- Domain knowledge in intrusion detection or access control systems is a big plus.
- Experience with TLS 1.2 cipher suites for secure communications is a big plus.
- Experience working with ColdFire and ARM microcontroller and RTOS like FreeRTOS, etc. are a plus.
- Proficient in using circuit simulators and analysis tools - Mentor Graphics, SPICE, PSPICE and HSPICE.
- Knowledge of cyber security in an embedded system environment and developing secure products is a plus.
- Understanding hardware design principles is a plus.
- Agile, scaled Agile or Scrum experience is a plus.
