The Engineering Support Specialist's role establishes purchasing requirements based on the organization's needs from BOMs, and provides materials follow up within the EFAB test equipment fabrication projects.**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:Create plans, schedules, places, and manage material requisitions (Convert into purchase orders) to ensure quality parts are delivered on time according to the requirements shown in ERP/ Macro tool.Support the quoting of fabrication jobs by reviewing assembly drawings and bills of materials and communicating issues and questions with test engineers and test leads.Interacts with personnel at multiple sites to discuss/negotiate difficult material-related problems.Monitor material delivery dates to ensure fabrication technicians' needs and project schedules are met.Provides direction to work with specified suppliers and castings/forgings to junior members.Manages inventory to a specified inventory plan per order policy and as required to support the production schedule.Researches and provides constant feedback via tier RAIL to department and management relative to material shortages and suppliers' capacity and capabilities.Demonstrates an active commitment to continuous improvement in the areas of quality, cost, delivery and lead time.Acts as a liaison between purchasing and interfacing organizations to plan, coordinate and implement strategies for all supply chain activities related to fulfilling manufacturing requirements.Coordinate with project engineering teams within the ES organization as required for EFAB work requests.Adhere to existing processes and procedures while helping to identify and improve these processes and procedures as needed.Provides direction and mentoring junior membersActs as a focal point for requisitioning requests**Basic Qualifications**:7+ years experience as a planner or equivalent/experience with a proven record of accomplishmentBachelors degree requiredStrong computer skills, with an emphasis on MS OfficeExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Proactively address issues in an urgent manner to provide uninterrupted material flow to productionAnalyze, plan and communicate requirements to operations to meet MPBe the focal point for all the material problems for assigned projectsMonitor and daily coordinate execution to the MPS and report status to manufacturing and managementAnalytical problem solver with critical thinkingAction-oriented, quick learner, self-motivated**Additional Information**:- **JOB ID**:HRD164677- **Category**:Engineering- **Location**:Calzada del Oro 1755,Mexicali,BAJA CALIFORNIA,21399,Mexico- Exempt
