Overview:
**Sr. Analyst, Cost Accounting | Level: Staff IV**

This position reports to: Freddy Saez, Supervisor, Cost Accounting
STATEMENT:
The Sr. Analyst will support all Americas cost accounting activities, including Corporate. Responsibilities include global oversight of Inventory valuation as well as accounting related to corporate 3rd party Importer distribution markets.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify, review and report excess and obsolete inventory in collaboration global supply chain team using detailed inventory valuation model.
- Evaluate and process requests to invoice Corporate intercompany transactions
- Generate monthly journal entries related to revenue recognition of sales in select Importer markets.
- Provide global monthly reporting and review of Importer activity.
- Evaluate and process requests to invoice related to third party "Importer" and "Contract Manufacturer" partners.
- Support continuous development and maintenance of standard operating procedures.
- Support necessary ad hoc reporting and compliance support related to cost accounting.

Job Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
**Skills**:
- General/Cost accounting skills and experience, in conjunction with good analytical skills.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Team player and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Detail oriented, self-motivated, and ability to properly prioritize.
Languages:
- Native in Spanish.
- Advanced in English.
**Experience**:
- A minimum of 5 years accounting experience in distribution or manufacturing industries.
- A minimum of 2 years inventory/cost accounting experience.
- Experience utilizing leading ERP software (e.g., Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP).
**Education**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Secondary education business or accounting degree.
- Experience in large multi-national corporation.
- Proficient in Oracle General Ledger, Cost Management and/or Manufacturing modules.
- Certified Public Accountant or equivalent accredited audit experience.
