The Role:The Senior Analyst, FP&A - Ad Sales, is a key member of the finance team responsible for providing detailed financial insights, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring robust financial planning and analysis processes for the ad sales department. This role involves close collaboration with sales, marketing, operations, and finance teams to drive the financial success of ad sales activities Responsibilities:Prepare financial forecasts & budgets for managed areas and validate them with commercial team to capture any risks and opportunities and provide assessment and recommendations of revenue drivers.Track business performance by updating Ad sales models on a regular basis, understand drivers behind the change, track and verify the data to make sure it is complete and accurateProvide variance analysis with comments to explain actual and forecasted performance of managed channels vs prior year/plan/prior forecastPrepare advertising sales analysis to understand performance (customer, agency, industry, KPI trends analysis), discuss observations with stakeholdersResponsible for development and updates of standard SMT and local commercial team reporting to highlight important trends, events, or unexpected variancesManage ad hoc strategic and BAU Ad sales related financial requests i.E. preparing business plans, financial models and scenario analysisCollaborate with Billing/Revenue Accounting/Collections teams supporting month-end closing processes, reviewing accruals, providing feedback etc
