6+ years of professional or military experience
- 5+ years of SQL experience
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.

Key job responsibilities
- Provides robust BI solutions for complex problems, that are extensible and scalable.
- Understand high-level business objectives and continually align work with those objectives to meet needs of business
- Refine data strategies that cut across functional teams and make technical trade-off decisions for long term/short-term needs.
- Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon's data resources and know how, when, and which to use and which not to use
- Support cross-functional teams on the day-to-day execution of projects and initiatives.
- Serve as liaison between the business and analytics team to achieve the goal of providing actionable insights into current business performance, and ad-hoc investigations to support future improvements or innovations. This will require data gathering and manipulation, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
- Drives best practices in operational excellence, data modelling, and analysis. Ensure that BI solutions are correctly and efficiently supporting the business.
- Write high quality code to retrieve and analyze data and build data visualizations to tell the story of business trends, patterns, and outliers through rich visualizations.
