You will be responsible for developing and managing strong partnerships with our business unit and ensuring sourcing initiatives and projects are well aligned with the BU's goals and strategic priorities.This Sr. Category Manager will be responsible for prioritizing strategic initiatives, developing, and executing sourcing strategies to ensure Milwaukee Tool is maximizing value by driving to the lowest total cost of ownership, supporting new product development (NPD), increasing the quality of service delivery, improving commercial terms, minimizing supply chain risks, ensuring all productivity, and sourcing metrics are met and supporting our corporate and organizational goals.You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:Support NPD and early supplier involvement to enhance problem-solving abilities, reduce lead times, and optimize costs.Search for and qualify new sources of supply for your assigned categories.Develop and execute global sourcing strategies aligning with corporate objectives for production, NPD, and R&D activities.Lead supplier contract negotiations, employing various negotiation styles to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.Collaborate with stakeholders to address challenges and provide expertise in strategic sourcing and category management.Provide strategic guidance based on data analysis and trends to improve operational performance.Establish benchmarks and scorecards for supplier performance and cultivate long-term partnerships to drive productivity.Develop commodity strategies to reduce total cost of ownership and enhance customer service.Contribute to the strategic direction of the business unit through project management and change initiatives.Build relationships across the organization and influence stakeholders, including suppliers and senior management.Analyze make versus buy decisions and identify opportunities for strategic sourcing and process improvement.Coordinate with various departments to ensure material supply supports production volumes and business objectives.The TOOLS you'll bring with you:Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management or engineering related field
