- Responsible for building short and long-term Contract Manufacturing category strategy to ensure operational excellence and efficiencies are met
- Establishes a cross-functional network and fosters collaboration with suppliers, wider supply chain organization, engineering, quality, and product management
- Owns the vendor performance data and reports metrics to leadership
- Develops and implements a category strategy which optimizes affordability, availability, agility, and innovation. Leverages understanding of similar industry, sourcing concepts, and Lean tools to ensure parts delivered on time at best cost and quality.
- Manages external relationships with suppliers and assumes responsibility for all internal activities and decisions associated with Contract Manufacturing category and suppliers, including contract negotiations, new products development, approved vendor list, RFX, re-sourcing, dual qualification, pricing changes, quality, and capacity.
- Collaborate within the Global Strategic Sourcing team and across Product Management and Engineering to align on long-term strategy, technology roadmap, and risk mitigation
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of respective global supply markets, competitors, and product innovations
- Build and develop a team of Contract Manufacturing experts to drive global performance
**Required Experience**
Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years experience in sourcing environment and familiarity with industrial operations
**Preferred Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, finance, or business
- MBA or professional certifications (CPM, CPSM, CIRM, CPIM)
- Strategic sourcing experience in Contract Manufacturing is ideal
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Experience with strategic sourcing and lean tools
- Digital dexterity and ability to leverage data
- Strong knowledge of supply chain strategy (development and execution) and category specific experience
- Independently driven problem solver with appetite to address complex challenges in a fast-moving environment
- Proven track record of successful leadership, negotiation, and strategic communication

- Establishes critical sourcing strategies; owns the purchasing activities of the company, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Develops and implements mid
- to long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues, production location decisions, etc.
- Partners with internal clients and stakeholders to identify sourcing needs and develops sourcing strategies to continuously improve and re-evaluate the purchasing activities of the company.
- Directs supplier selection based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities and details of suppliers' reputation and history.
- Directs negotiations, renegotiations and administration of contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.
- Directs negotiations with suppliers and analyzes suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
**Minimum Requirements**
Requires deep management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams or manage across multiple related departments.
University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8-10 years prior relevant experience
or,
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 8 years experience.
