.Eaton's IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Sr. CNC Engineer.
**What you'll do**:**Job Summary**Under mínimal supervision, define and controls production processes.
Define/maintains labor time standards, process/manufacturing specification/instructions, statistical process controls, production routers, etc.
Reviews existing processes and makes recommendations for revisions when necessary.
Responsible for machining processes to meet customer expectation and compliance against internal and external procedures, supports kaizen and continuous improvement events.- **Primary Responsibilities**- Support shop operations by providing solutions and alternatives for machining manufacturing with hands on activities and training of manufacturing personnel.- Defines process instructions by creating, releasing, and controlling Manufacturing Job Instructions and Standard work.- Defines sequence of operations by creating, releasing, and controlling Production Routers.
Maintains routers.- Establishes and documents Labor Time Standards for each operation in the MRP system.- Documents production process requirements by creating Product and Process Specifications.- Conduct and lead A3 solving problems & improvement projects.- Develop and assure to update the PFMEA's (Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) as needed.- Reviews and writes fabrication procedures, including detailed production station instructions/visual aids as required.
Recommends changes when necessary.- Examines and suggests improvements to Cutting tooling, machinery, processes, specifications, procedures, drawings, etc.- Identify areas of improvement and propose solutions with cost analysis.- Meet production and cost goals through diligent KPI´s.- Provides idea leadership to the MRB team, including corrective actions.- Develops feasibility studies relating to the purchase of special equipment/machines and initiates R.O.I.
and cost reduction support data**Qualifications**:**Preferred Qualifications**- CNC Machining Experience ( lathe /Mill)- Functional technical skills.- Drive for Results- Teamwork**Education/Previous Experience Requirements**- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or University in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineer.- 5 years' experience in Manufacturing and Quality Engineering dealing with: machining (lathes & mills), detail fabrication assembly, TIG welding, Brazing.- Proven experience with CAD-CAM systems, CNC Machine programming, setup, and operation.
