As a Sr. COLOR SPECIALIST, you will ensure that the products released meet the color specifications according to the requirements established with the customer: color master, tolerances and specifications; under the standards of safety, cost and time.
You will report to Sr. Process Engineer.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform color adjustments of materials in production process optimizing time and resources.
- Align with internal color evaluation processes in strict agreement to established procedures and specifications.
- Help develop new colors together with Technical Laboratory, and the timely follow-up to new color launches, until final customer approval.
- Elaboration and fulfillment of verification, calibration, maintenance and R & R study programs for the area's equipment.
- Visit customer's lines to conduct shade audits and agreements regarding color trends of materials.
- Analyze first production batches manufactured with new formulations and reformulations through data analysis.
- Identify actual and potential causes of product and process failure through the use of statistical tools to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of plant processes.
- Promote new technologies for color evaluation, looking for improvement and optimization of color adjustments.
**Qualifications**
- Industrial Chemical Engineer, Chemical Engineer.
- + 2 years of experience formulation, pigment properties and color matching of paints.
- Experience with color measurement equipment (X-Rite, Byk Mac), color interpretation and color reading, pigment and aluminum handling.
- Data analysis.
- Intermediate English.
