.***The Sr. Commodity Manager develops, implements, and maintains group of commodities inventory strategy that supports a company's supply chain. The Sr. Commodity Manager evaluates market conditions in order to maintain inventory levels and control costs, evaluates, and recommends vendors and manages ongoing relationships with suppliers.**RESPONSIBILITIES**:- Plans, organizes, and manages both strategic and tactical sourcing and procurement efforts.- Develops and executes detailed FT plans to successfully lead teams through all phases, culminating with a completed close-out of projects.- Executes any relevant Procurement initiatives including but not limited to soliciting quotations, recommending suppliers or service providers, evaluating quotations, negotiating pricing, conducting cost analysis and ensures all necessary legal agreements are executed.- Evaluates and selects suppliers and service providers capable of meeting specifications and business requirements.- Lead projects focused on reducing waste and improving efficiency and effectiveness of the Procurement function.- Leads the development of program budgets, plan, and objectives to meet the goals of FTI- Conducts formal program risk assessments and develops mitigation- Develop and complete Total Cost Models (TCM's) and other financial analyses.- Coordinate with Commodity Managers to prepare any necessary agreements supporting overall supply chain goals and objectives.- Serve as Procurement nominee to conduct required supply chain audits for M & A activity.- Develop and report on Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) metrics to Procurement leaders and communicate results to suppliers as a part of a continuous improvement program.- Working with Quality Assurance, ensure detailed end customer feedback is communicated to suppliers for future corrective actions.- Other Duties as assigned**QUALIFICATIONS****Minimum Qualifications**:- BA or BS, Supply Chain management or Business is preferred.- 7-10 years of experience**Preferred Qualifications**:- Proven success in identification, selection, and integration of global suppliers.- Strong negotiation skills.- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.- General knowledge of regional trade compliance laws and issues.- Specific knowledge and experience with various direct materials commodities.- Proven ability to develop and negotiate contractual documents.- Successful use of decision-making and analytical tools.- Demonstrated ability to manage/lead multiple projects and changing priorities.- Demonstrated ability to develop and establish business relationships with key internal customers and team members.- Excellent team management abilities.- Strong communication and leadership skills in transformational, growth industries.- Ability to work comfortably in a highly matrixed organizational environment.- Experience implementing rapid replenishment programs (e.G. VMI or consignment)
