Consultant with a background in enterprise content transformation solutions that improve the creation, management and delivery of technical information.
- Content Structure (content modeling, markup, schema, DITA, XML)
- Content Operations (Authoring, Content Management and Delivery Portal
- Content Semantics (controlled vocabularies, taxonomy, metadata, etc.).
- Content Strategy (content planning, customer journey mapping, information architecture) You will have the opportunity to shape how companies create, manage and deliver their technical information.

This is a remote role that can be done from anywhere in the US.
- High-Level Responsibilities
- Guide companies through transformation from initial analysis to designing an enterprise content strategy to implementation and intelligent content delivery.
- Facilitate working sessions to design information architecture, content models, taxonomy and metadata standards, workflows, reuse strategy, and governance requirements.
- Analyze content, organizational needs, and business requirements to develop actionable recommendations in two phases: immediate implementation and longer-term.
- Train content creators how to write for reuse, create and tag content according to the strategy, and use their new toolsets with support of the technology stack vendors
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Working with customers to develop an Enterprise Content Architecture:
- Partner with the customer's product content developers, localization, and delivery teams, business stakeholders, and end-users to devise a content strategy that drives business goals by serving user needs both immediate and long-term
- Identify and implementing content architecture, tools, and processes for producing high quality content
- Oversee the development of publishing stylesheets and plugins
- Develop content inventories, curation processes and governance for content
- Develop taxonomy and metadata strategies to support the organization, management, and delivery of content
- Develop content authoring workflows, automating where appropriate
- Devise strategies for collaborative content development
- Develop personas/opportunity maps and use cases that describe the proposed experience
- Support evaluation of tools, architecture, and processes against business requirements
- Support customer authors to drive publishing standards, processes, and deliverables using DITA-based content architecture and appropriate technology stacks
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Working knowledge of the DITA standard
- Ability to translate business needs into long-term IA solutions
- Experience with enterprise content management systems
- Demonstrated experience with HTML, XML, DITA and content management systems (CMS)
- Demonstrated experience with the full XML content lifecycle, from creation through localization and publishing
- Knowledge of DITA Open Toolkit (OTK)
- Demonstrated Project/Program Management, written and verbal communication skills
- Experience supporting a multi-language publishing environment
Salary position
