Because why not do it all?**WHAT TO EXPECT**As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team.The Sr. Controls Engineer & Upgrading Special Projects for the entire plant is needed to develop upgrading projects, migration controls, modernization with an integral concept: (PLC control, mechanical, hydraulic, electronic, and electrical), and implements process improvement / capital projects. This position is located in Toluca.**Key responsibilities (to name a few)**:- Prepares and presents Upgrading & Retrofits, capital project proposals for Gates.- Develops troubleshooting for PLC´s, AC & DC Drives, Servo Drives. prepares bid packages for quotes; reviews and provides the recommended sourcing decision, and reliable suppliers.- Recommends and implements control, automation, upgrading controls, improvements and/or modifications in sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and continuous improvement opportunities.- Capital equipment support and run-off at equipment supplies and Gates' manufacturing facilities.- Management of project metrics including timing, spend forecast, and key objectives.- Supplier visits for project updates and equipment run-offs.- PLC & Controls training and support of the plant engineering maintenance staff.- Identify process control needs related with PLC´s and Drives.**REQUIRED SKILLS**:- Excellent Upgrading PLC Control projects management skills, including execution and follow up assessment.- Results oriented, seeks creative solutions to business & technical control problems.- Proficient project management and engineering related software skills including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, Project Management Programs (Microsoft Project).- Time Management/Resource Planning.- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.- Must be capable of presenting project information in front of all levels of the organization.- Demonstrated knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC´s & Drives, Ethernet communication lean manufacturing concepts.- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills. (PLC´s, AC, & DC Drives, Servo drives, control).- Strong demonstrated skills on pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, systems, player, proactively able to step in to support other team members as needed and share knowledge to allow cross training of all functions, builds collaborative relationships.- Takes action, anticipates the needs of internal and external customers
