Whether our customers are accelerating life sciences research, solving sophisticated analytical challenges, improving patient diagnostics and therapies or growing efficiency in their laboratories, we are here to support them.**How will you make an impact?**:**Design and Architecture**:- Architect and develop robust frameworks for efficiently onboarding new users, user groups, and security configuration onto the Databricks Platform and Unity Catalog.- Design and implement security control processes tailored for integrating new data and users, ensuring compliant.- Build scalable and maintainable architectures that support the evolving needs of our data workflows and analytics processes on the platform.**Automation and Operational Excellence**:- Own the automation of Databricks workspaces, Unity Catalog configurations, cluster policy creation, and management, using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline operations and reduce manual overhead in the deployment and management of Databricks environments.- Provide support on Databricks platform security, configuration, and address issues acting as a go-to resource for internal teams.**Teamwork and Leadership**:- Work closely with data engineering, data science, and IT security teams to define standard processes for the use of the platform.- Advocate for and implement standard processes in data management, security, and governance within the Databricks ecosystem.- Lead by example, mentoring junior team members and encouraging a culture of technical excellence and innovation.**How will you get here?****Education**:Bachelors degree in computer science or related field preferred.**Experience**:- Demonstrable experience with the Databricks platform, including Databricks SQL, Delta Lake, and the Unity Catalog.- Solid grasp of cloud infrastructure and services, preferably with experience in AWS- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric Platform and Immuta security platform for sophisticated data governance and privacy management.- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to design and implement scalable, high-performance data solutions.- Proven background in data architecture, data modeling, and data governance principles.- Proficiency in automation and configuration management tools, particularly Terraform.- Strong leadership capabilities- Ability to work across different teams and levels of the organization.- Results oriented with a laser focus on accountability.
