He is also responsible for the deployment of several projects (automation, HC reduction, value engineering, UPH improvements, etc) as part of continuous improvement. The start-up support team is responsible for ensuring that vendors are complying with the specifications of tools being installed and the schedule of tool installation during the production ramp. The Tool install/Project Deployment Engineer reports to the Tool Install/Start-Up Support Supervisor or Manager.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, develop, evaluates, select, and orders equipment that is most appropriate and cost-effective for the manufacture of company productsStarts up, installs, qualifies, and endorses module tools. Provides tool support systems for new, added, or retrofitted capacities for the company.Deployment of several projects ( automation, HC reduction, value engineering, UPH improvements, etc) as part of continuous improvementsWorks within cross-functional teams to safely install, qualify and transfer new module tools and processes to manufacturing. Responsible for prevention of hazardous conditions for personnel and equipmentDesigns experiments and test plans to measure and validate system performance against SPMM standards and to quantify system capability against requirements.Applies sound engineering principles to quickly resolve installation and start-up challenges for a new module tool.Delivers requirements to ensure a smooth handshake between operations and startup teams. These key requirements must satisfy important metrics demonstration, documentation, and training of manufacturing personnelGuides and provides recommendations for issues and concerns on recently installed tools and their support systems.Maintains documented history of the tool to guide future installs, problem-solving for downtimes, and basis for engineering systems such as FMEA, CNTs, and TCRs.Provides manufacturing support on an ad-hoc basis for major downtimes and machine troubleshooting
