Role Responsibilities:Produces drawings and BOMs using computer-assisted drafting systems (CAD) and PLM systemDesigns and drafts components, assemblies and packing, and utilizes data management systems to track and report progress of assignments.Positions instructions and comments onto drawingsCompletes design tasks using PLM workflowsCoordinates and oversees work of junior level design/draftsperson onsite and/or offshore.Role Purpose:Support design activities for chiller products manufactured at manufacturing plants in North AmericaManage larger design projects while working closely with cross-functional departments for implementation in the factory.Minimum Requirements:Fully experienced with CREO 4 (minimum of 3 years with CREO)Fully experienced with PDM Windchill – Version 11Solid understanding and experience with drafting standards and proceduresExperienced with the bill of material structure and databasesExperience with change management and Engineering Change Requests & Engineering Change NoticesProven experience with complex 3D parametric modelingExperience with sheet metal design and manufacturing processesExperience with piping design and manufacturing processesExperienced with Top Level Assemblies and Large Assembly ManagementSome experience with electrical components and subassemblies and their function a plusGeneral understanding and exposure to electro-mechanical control systems and componentsHas in-depth knowledge of the discipline and design roleResponsible for the quality and accuracy of work and performance in meeting hardline schedule deliverables
