**Job Description**:
- This position is for a DFM engineer on a team responsible for performing design for manufacturability
analysis on Customer products to detect and flag potential solderability and assembly issues and propose solutions
- In this position the DFM engineer will partner with a diverse team of quality, test, industrial and
manufacturing engineers to review and present and discuss the results of the analysis with the Customers
and agree to the best course of action ofr both, the Customer and Jabil
- Creative Structured Problem Solving and Organized
- Self-motivated with written and verbal communication skills.
- Work in a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment with teams in various geographies.
**Experience**:
- 3+ years in design for manufacturability analysis (DFM):
- Cad data formats and conversion
- DFM analysis using Valor Tools
- IPC and Jabil Rules and Guidelines
- 3+ years in pcba assembly process
- Smt Reflow: Component Land Patterns and Placement, Stencil Design
- Wave/Selective: TH Anlaysis, PTH thermal analysis, Fixture Design
- Depaneling Methods: % Utilization, Stress, Bowing and Warpage Analysis
- Press Fit and Conformal Coating Process
- Knowledge of test platform requirements
- Knowledge of Fabrication and Assembly Drawings
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficiency in the following tools:
- Valor NPI
- VLM, Bom Manager
- NX
- Autocad
- Knowledge of the following processes and their driving items:
- Fab Master Utilization and Panel Design
- Pcb Fabrication and Depanel Methods
- Stencil Design and Fabrication
- Fixture Design and Fabrication
- Additive Manufacturing is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with FEA for stess, strain and deformation analysis
- Exoerience with Thermal Analysis Tools
- Knowledge of CFD tools for fluid analysis
