About the role: You will participate in the project of a top player in the Automotive industry focused on the design and development of powertrain, engine, transmission components, and systems from initial design to final product, working alongside cross-disciplinary teams to meet the system requirements and performance specifications expected.
Main Requirements: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electromechanical, mechatronics, or related engineering required.6+ years of experience in Mechanical Design (mainly in the automotive industry).Working knowledge of Powertrain/Engine/Transmission components/systems.Experience in Product Lifecycle Management with Teamcenter.Advanced English to clearly communicate component status and issues in Google Suite and MS-Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).Interface with cross-functional teams to design and develop functional solutions that achieve design requirements & ensure proper design interfaces with other components, and all requirements are met.
Work with other functions (Design/Releasing teams) to ensure consistency in requirements, standards, and practices across programs.
Own and update Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design Verification Plan & Report (DVPR), and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) to ensure functional objectives, guidelines, and corporate requirements are met.
Perform cost value analysis. Develop timelines and drive programs to meet deliverables.
Manage Tier I suppliers and software releases and/or hardware designs to meet program timing and deliverables.
Interface with stakeholders at all levels including vehicle teams, HMI, validation, requirement leads, technical specialists, leadership, and develop robust functional designs.
Present action plans with status/risks to keep programs on track.
Follow, track, and root cause build issues found during pre-production builds, prior to the launch of the program and warranty analysis of all components after launch.
Conduct Computer Aided Design (CAD) modeling (Catia/NX) and template set-up & maintenance using Knowledge Based Engineering template modeling techniques.
Generate CAD and 2D drawings for components including GD&T.
Coordinate change management (CCD, CN, A, PER, ICD).
Act as Point of contact for engine hardware issues.
Lead initial root cause analysis and support through closure.
