Through a respectful, inclusive and collaborative culture, a career at Flex offers the opportunity to make a difference, invest in your career growth and join our purpose - to make great products that create value and improve people's lives.Job SummaryJob summary:To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Sr EH&S Engineer located in Guadalajara North Campus.Reporting to the EH&S Manager, the Sr EH&S Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.What a typical day looks like:- Examines plans and specifications for new machinery or equipment to determine if all safety precautions have been included.- Tours plant to inspect fire and safety equipment, machinery and facilities to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.- Determines requirements for safety clothing and devices, and designs, builds and installs or directs installation of safety devices on machinery.- Conducts or coordinates safety training to educate workers about emergency response, safety policies, laws and practices.- Investigates industrial accidents to minimize recurrence and prepares accident reports.- Conducts air quality tests for presence of harmful gases and vapors.- Responsible for identifying health and safety hazards and recommending corrective actions.- Serves as internal consultant to business units on ergonomics, hazardous materials, industrial hygiene and fire and chemical safety matters.- Audits business units.- Interfaces with outside vendors, contractors and engineers regarding facilities, chemicals and other workplace health and safety related matters.- Compiles and submits safety reports.- Administers workers compensation, OSHA 2000 log and return to work program.The experience we're looking to add to our team:- Indispensable Sr level experience in similar position coordinating EH&S department, within manufacturing industry (preferably metal-mechanical).- Experience in personnel management.- Experience in coordinating emergency response and legal requirements.- Knowledge of safety standards, machinery safety, process establishment, accident investigation, identification of risks and unsafe conditions.Nice to Have:- Advanced intermediate English.What you'll receive for the great work you provide:- Competitive Salary.- Life & Medical insurance.- Christmas Bonus.- Food Coupons.- Saving Fund.Job CategoryOperations
