.Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Sr EHS Engineer.**What you'll do**:**Job summary**Assure EHS Management System (MESH) compliance, execuate all the related initiatives and accomplishing the objectives of the area, including: reporting, exceute strategy for site ZWTL & ZWD certification, following-up of site security and developing a strong EHS culture.**Job responsibilities**- Interact with other areas on site to develop and implement annual EHS action plan and EHS projects.- Actively participate in the Corporate EHS Audit Program as an auditor.- Develop & Follow up EHS compliance calendar and required activities to maintain EHS compliance.- Register all employee observations and employee concerns.- Be part of the investigation process of employee's concerns, EHS Incidents, and Employee Observations, Near Misses, along with corrective action development, implementation, and follow-up.- Be part of the emergency brigades and emergency preparedness for the site.- Update the EHS metric boards.- Maintain and communicate EHS metrics as required, to facility, division and/or corporate EHS management.- Evaluate effectiveness of existing EHS programs; determine the need for any additional programs; develop and implement additional programs as needed. Ensure facility systems to track necessary data for environmental reports, along with timely report submittal.- Ensure site systems to track necessary data for environmental reports, along with timely report submittal.- Teach all required EHS training.- Carry out assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects. Works with cross-functional team to work targets and objectives based on key EHS risks.- Drives and promotes zero incident EHS culture throughout site.- Works to develop MESH element champions and facilitate their engagement in ownership of the MESH elements. Acting as a Champion or Co-Champion in several categories or elements (according with the assignment matrix).- Take active part in Lean events.- Execute the strategy to maintain and/or reduce budget.- Monthly walks with fire extinguishers & fire suppression system contractors.**Qualifications**:**Education level required**- Bachelor of Science Degree in a technical field, preferably health, engineering, chemistry or EHS management- Good communication in English**Years and area of experience required**- Minimum of five years of experience in Manufacturing and/or Engineering in complex organizations.**Technical knowledge**- Understanding of components of an EHS Management System, Risk Assessment, Incident Investigation, Ergonomics, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Machine Guarding, Environmental Aspects (Water, Air, Waste, and Chemicals)
