**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Establish, maintain, and promote safety as a Vertiv core value and drive a positive safety culture
- Assists in the resolutions of a wide scope of EHS-related situations
- Maintain data collection and reporting systems for EHS metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Assists with analysis of metrics and ways to improve safety systems, policies, and programs
- Coordinate EHS metrics and best practices with the Vertiv Operating System (VOS)
- Ensure new equipment, machines, workstations, and assembly lines are implemented following all applicable safety and environmental regulatory requirements and Vertiv best practices
- Provide guidance and oversight for the collection, sharing, and implementation of best practices throughout the facility
- Advise the EHS Manager on facility risks, incidents, actions, programs, and policies
- Establish, monitor, enforce, and improve EHS systems, programs, policies, and procedures to reduce or eliminate risk by implementation of prevention systems
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments in conjunction with applicable safety programs and regulatory requirements
- Assist with employee safety committee, safety suggestion program, and safety promotional activities
- Evaluate, develop, and implement required EHS training for employees
- Maintain site safety records, such as Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Job Hazard Analyses (JSA), safety training records
- Maintain incident and injury records and logs as required by OSHA and Vertiv
- Ensure work areas are ergonomically correct
- Interface with all levels of the organization for safety engagement and compliance
- Conduct incident investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
- Assist with Workers' Compensation claims management or equivalent in mexico
- Have a strong working knowledge of all manufacturing safety requirements, including machine guarding, welding and brazing, powder coat and autophoretic painting, powered industrial vehicles, material storage, loading docks, electrical test facilities, and assembly line operations
- Manage and support the Emergency and Crisis Management Response Program and local Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT)
- Manage the site contractor safety program to ensure contractor compliance with Vertiv rules
- Perform other related duties as needed
- Normal work week is day shift Monday-Friday, but some after-hours and weekend work may be required for off-shift training, emergencies, or other special situations Some travel may be required for training and cross-facility inspections and audits
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- A minimum of 6 years EHS experience in manufacturing operations or equivalent
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff
- Ability to communicate in English verbally and written.
- Ability to lead teams and participate as team player.
- Broad knowledge of manufacturing facility regulatory compliance requirements
- English written and fluent speaking is required for daily calls and reports
**EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS**
Bachelor's Degree as Industrial Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or equivalent or equivalent qualification of education and experience
