Responsibilities:Design and document electronics circuits for aerospace and defense display products.Define hardware architectures, design and develop electronic circuits and PCB layouts, document appropriate design verification and validation test procedures, and perform design verification activities.Perform calculations including thermal analysis of circuits, power, impedance, de-rating, mean-time between failures, detailed component level FMEA.Generate or modify VHDL code for custom functionality of FPGA.Generate or modify C code for embedded microcontroller-based circuits.Provide technical solutions for the selection of electronic components for new and existing products.Design and document electronic test environment for display products.Work with suppliers and provide technical guidance to manufacture circuit assemblies.Identify and resolve hardware issues with component obsolescence and manufacturability of display product components.Build prototype parts, cables, and test fixtures.Create technical documentation and user manuals.Assign part numbers for drawings, documents, and generate Bill of Materials (BOMs).Prepare, incorporate, and process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).Support and troubleshoot complex electronic failures.Carry out analyses, validations/verifications tests, and follow-up of prototypes.Work in collaboration with a team of multidisciplinary professionals.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.Minimum of ten (10) years of experience.Design of analog/digital circuits, power supply, microcontrollers, debugging tools, and LCD displays (characters/graphics, monochrome/color).Hardware architecture of electronic systems and integrated MMI applications.Experience in analyzing safety and reliability requirements.Ability to use basic electronic test equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators, etc.High-speed video processing.FPGA (VHDL), "C" programming language.Familiar with the development of Operating Systems and embedded software, RTOS.C/C++ Programming Language; experience with Python is a plus.Experience with electromagnetic interference.Ability to solder and use prototyping tools.Experience with Mentor PADS Schematic and Layout software is a plus.IPC Standards.Background in military & aerospace standards with direct experience to meet RTCA/DO-160 Environmental Testing, MIL-TSD-810, and MIL-STD-461.Effective written/verbal communication skills; computing skills (Windows, Microsoft Office).Demonstrate ability to work in a team.Positive and professional attitude.Bilingual (Spanish - English): spoken and written.#J-18808-Ljbffr
