The** Senior Manufacturing Engineer **will provide leadership to a team of YNA affiliated W/H manufacturers and the Global Team to develop, standardize, and implement processes for quality improvement and the reduction of waste. Work will include the analysis of existing manufacturing processes for improvement in efficiency, reduction of standard operation time, scrap reduction, floor space, and other opportunities for waste reduction & elimination. The Manufacturing Engineer will also create and publish Design for Manufacturing guidelines, promote the use of DFM principles within YNA design engineering on behalf of manufacturing affiliates, and provide training as required. Additional responsibilities include the support of quotation, risk, and feasibility analysis for new product/process implementation; conduct on-site customer manufacturing assessments; capacity verification for affiliate manufacturers; review and maintenance of associated documentation.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide regional leadership & coordination for global manufacturing standardization (GMESC)
- Provide leadership to the YNA team as a mentor and self-starter
- Publish & Maintain DFM Guidelines
- Perform engineering review of Manufacturing Investment Plans
- Provide analysis to support manufacturing strategic planning
- Support new product/process technology implementation
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
- BS Engineering (manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical)
- Minimum 8 years of direct manufacturing, production, process, or related engineering is required. 5 years experience with wire harness products is preferred
