**Position Summary**:This position is within HARMAN's Car Audio business and is responsible for all day-to-day software testing infrastructure activities for globally developed amplifiers.
This position will report to the Validation Tools Manager for Val Tools & Test Racks (STV).
**Supervisory Responsibilities**:This position has no direct reports.
**Responsibilities**:- This position is responsible for the development of test strategy/interface tools for Harman audio products including AHU, amplifiers, loudspeaker, and microphones.
The position will work closely with the Validation & Certification Global teams and Engineering to ensure test and interface tools that fully validate our products.- Develop and release algorithms for testing amplifiers, Audio Head Units & displays.- Develop and release automated solutions to improve efficiencies of the global test organization.- Support and mentor team members on the use of automated tools and developing new measurements for automated testers.- Develops test strategies and plans in accordance with business and product requirements.- Develop innovative ways to expose and test automotive audio components.- Gives guidance and direction to junior engineers within group.- Creates automated test scripts using common scripting languages.- Identifies and implements cost-effective testing solutions.- Records, processes, and analyzes data with PC based tools and test instrumentation.- Provides technical support for the resolution of various customer and interdepartmental issues on an as needed basis.- Performs setup of modules/wiring and maintains test benches and test vehicles appropriately.- Designs, documents and facilitates the assembly of test racks utilizing commercial off-the-shelf equipment and internally designed components, where needed.- Seeks simple, cost effective global solutions.- Mentors less experienced engineers in technology and development.- Plans project development for the team.

**Basic Qualifications**:- 5-7 years in a product engineering or test strategy development role, preferably in automotive infotainment or consumer electronics.- 4 years creating HW validation test scripts.- 3-5 years hardware-in-the-loop / parametric development and usage.- Demonstrated high electronic knowledge- Electrical diagrams understanding- Electronic design- Experience with audio analysis & RF knowledge.
