The successful candidate will have the ability to use data to assist in evaluating new business concepts, and to turn insights into operational measures. Our business partners are interested in understanding the value of our efforts and the efficiency of our field teams in working with customers.Key job responsibilities
- Lead short and long-term financial planning
- Develop and report accurate, actionable, and timely financial and business metrics for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews
- Present financial summaries and business insights to senior management, and
- Help support team on international expansion decision making
- Devise mechanisms for control, performance monitoring, and reporting to internal stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement and standardization of processes, implement best practices and deliver automation throughout month-end close and financial planning cycles.This role requires a self-starter with strong modeling skills, a keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively. This role also has regular interaction with senior leaders and various business units across Amazon, and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in finance or a related analytical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experiencePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- An MBA or MS in Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Ability to dive deep with attention to detail
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail, self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, the ability to deal with ambiguity, and work successfully and effectively on a cross-functional team
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Experience with Essbase, Cognos, TM1, and Oracle Financials or similar tools
