If you are customer centric, forward-thinking engineer that enjoys working in a data-driven agile environment, this is the job for you!WHAT YOU'LL DO:- Team up with peers across the organization to build an understanding of cross dependencies and shared problem solving.- Take advantage of opportunities to build new technical expertise in a specific engineering area.- Share new skills and knowledge with team to increase effectiveness.- Design and develop scalable and highly available platform services to enhance our technology platform.- Contribute to adoption of cloud & serverless technologies and good design practices, while finding opportunities to simplify and scale.- You will coordinate bringing together different partners with varied perspectives to develop solutions to issues and contributes own suggestions.- Find opportunities around policies/ processes to increase efficiency across organizational boundaries.- Spot areas of inefficiency in code or systems operation and offer suggestions for improvements.- You will compile and generate reports on major operational or technical initiatives (like RCAs) to larger groups, whether via written or oral means.WHO YOU ARE:- Bachelor's with 5+ yrs or Master's degree in a Technical field with 3+ yrs of professional software development experience.- Strong in 2+ of languages and/or one language with multiple technology implementations.- Demonstrates the ability to select among technology available to implement and solve for need.- Able to create API's to be consumed across the BU.- Able to understand and design moderately complex systems.- Ability to test, debug, fix issues within established SLA.- Able to design software that is easily testable and observable.- Fluent with functional, imperative and object-oriented languages; knowledge of Java / Kotlin, Scala, React and JavaScript would be especially useful.- Prior experience of working with Spring Boot Microservices, Kafka, Mockito and gRPC is a plus.- Experience developing in AWS or similar cloud platforms. Preferred: S3, Kubernetes, AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, MongoDB, CloudFormation
