.Eaton's VEH EMB eMobility division is currently seeking a Sr Global Indirect Buyer.
**What you'll do**:The primary function of the Sr.
Global Indirect Buyer is to develop actions and execute on actions to achieve profit plan goals in terms of cost-out, payment terms, supplier consolidation and supply chain resiliency for assigned categories.
The Sr.
Global Indirect Buyer also manages relationships and performance of eMobility's indirect and logistics supply base.- Independently identify cost-out opportunities (negotiation, resourcing, VAVE) with the global eMobility indirect and logistics supply base.- Identify logistics continuous improvement opportunities by partnering with plant materials teams (Planners and Material Managers; Examples: change mode of shipment, air freight reduction, consolidation of shipments).- Deploy Vehicle Group and Global Procurement office logistics strategies across eMobility.- Lead execution of cost-out opportunities and timely implementation to budgeted cost-out.- Manage cross functional teams, maintain action trackers and heatmaps and report on progress of cost-out projects.- Maintain cost-out projects in Global Procurement SharePoint cost-out database (timing, benefit, milestones etc.
).- Actively drives supply base continuous improvement.- Categorization of indirect spend and maintenance of supplier meta data in GPS (Global Procurement SharePoint).- In times of high inflation, the role requires supplier price increase management including supplier negotiation, development of mitigation action plans, analysis and administration.- Always aligns with Global Category Management on category strategy and strategic supply base.- Ensures full leverage of Eaton Global Procurement Office tools and resources.- Globally create preferred supplier base for indirect and Logistic sources in eMobility.- Leads global cost out events for all eMobility in coordination with global category managers.LI-DS1**Qualifications**:- Basic Requirements:- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.- 5+ years of procurement experience with demonstrated ability to independently identify cost-out opportunities.- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams through all project stages to execution of cost-out projects.- Preferred Requirements:- Master's degree in an engineering discipline or supply chain.- Past working experience in design engineering (ME/EE) or quality engineering.- Past experience managing indirect categories, in particular drive cost-out.
