POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Specialist administers a variety of human resources related activities and programs. With limited supervision of HR Management, may coordinate training, personnel management, benefits, safety, and labor relations among others to support 2nd shift operation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist management with Union Permanent labor contracts for Associates.
Manage day-to-day Labor relations.
Manage wage progression for Union hourly employee.
Assist with postings of employment opportunities.
Coordinate interviews for internal recruitment process.
Actively participate in toolbox meetings providing feedback to HR department and Operations management as well as follow up on complaints.
Monitor cafeteria supplier to ensure service is satisfactory to employees.
Participate in the organization of social events such as Picnic, Christmas party, Mother's Day, Plant meeting, etc.
Comply with the Communication Plan.
Assist with administration of anniversary gift.
Manage bank and food coupons cards delivery, follow up on complaints.
Maintain data entry on Tress system for employee general information.
Review HCM information to assure system accuracy.
Assist on investigations and reports to Recordable Accidents, First Aids and Near Misses. Emergency Response Brigade, coordination during night shift.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree preferred.
4 to 8 years of experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
Bilingual (English-Spanish)
MS Office proficiency.
Human Resources Information Systems experience (Tress, Oracle, etc.)
Labor Law and applicable regulations knowledge.
