Functions:
Direct employments activities, assuring that properly qualified employees are recruited and hired for Company positions.
Contracts various source of labor supply to recruit manpower; interviews job applicants and checks personal qualifications against job requirements, following information supplied as to general and specific or immediate needs; refers applicants to plant supervisory personnel for interview an approval investigates references and handles details of employee induction.
Coordinates and participates with Managers and Supervisors in disciplinary or termination proceeding involving individuals.
Sets up and maintains general control methods, records, and files as required for effective personnel functions.
Maintains good public relations status with the various civic and welfare organizations, local plants, and business people in the community regarding personnel functions.
Develops and supervises training programs, participates in new employee orientation and indoctrination programs when required.
Coordinates the administration of employee health and benefit programs.
Conducts research into personnel programs and activities, and recommends changes or innovations when desirable.
Assures that company employment, labor relations, personnel, and equal opportunity policies and practices comply with the applicable provisions of Federal and state labor laws, including the maintenance of necessary files, etc.
Develops and administer employee training programs to assure maximum knowledge of skills for employees.
Develops programs of employee appraisal and review to assure that employees are aware of their evaluation.
Participates in CGMP, ISO 9000 and Safety compliance programs as an advisor of effects in employees.
Responsible for developing strategic initiatives relating to Compensation and Benefits, which will include compensation research analysis and salary compensation, strategic negotiations with medical plan carriers and Insurance brokers and all other employee related benefits.
Responsible for the Salary Administration of Exempt, Hourly and CT personnel based on established reasonable compensation practices.
Responsible for staffing and the development and coordination of internal developmental and succession planning programs.
Responsible for the coordination and implementation of HR practices and policies and handling of compliance in HR Legal related affairs.
Serves as liaison between employees and different management levels to ensure problem resolution and assists in keeping employees informed of all changes related to personnel policies.
Responsible for the coordination, communication, and process documentation of the Bard Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESSP) in the facility.
Comply with Federal, Local and FDA Regulations.
Responsible for any HR investigations.
Maintain accurate migration documentation for US employees working in México.
Assure compliance of BASC/CTPAT requirements.
Supports Plant EHS policies and procedure.
Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Personnel Management, or equivalent.- Ten (10) years or equivalent in personnel-related activities with al least five (5) years experience as Manager of HR Department with generalist's background.
Must possess an understanding of people and their problems, and a sense of fairness and consistency.- Must have knowledge of local and Federal Labor laws and regulations.
Must have knowledge of CGMP's, OSHA, and ISO Regulations.- Strong intellectual and analytical skills.- Must be fully bilingual (English/Spanish) and must have very good communications skills both oral and written.Primary Work Location
