The Internal Audit Senior is responsible for executing internal audit engagements to assess the effectiveness of SBD internal controls, risk management processes, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
This role involves conducting comprehensive audits, identifying areas of improvement, and providing recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks.
The Internal Audit Senior will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement audit plans, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.Duties & Responsibilities:Execute internal audit engagements, including planning, scoping, fieldwork, and reporting phases.Audit Planning: Perform focused interviews to develop a risk-based audit work program.Audit Fieldwork: Perform walkthroughs, testing and analytical tests in accordance with the audit program.Audit Report: Draft and share with auditees the findings identified and work with them to obtain proper root causes and remediation plans.Utilize strong knowledge of risk assessment, accounting, finance, or operational experience to identify control gaps and opportunities to gain process efficiency.Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that may indicate potential risks or control weaknesses.Prepare comprehensive audit reports, including findings, recommendations, and action plans to address identified issues.Collaborate with management and stakeholders to develop and implement corrective actions and process improvements.Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and provide guidance to ensure timely and effective resolution.Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging risks to enhance the internal audit function.Demonstrate excellent organization, willingness to learn, and a love of travel to effectively perform audit engagements.Utilize effective communication skills to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.Domestic and international travel approximately 30%Education or Experience:BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or Operational related field2-5 years work experience in operations or internal audit/public accounting experienceCPA, CMA, or CIA preferredManufacturing experience a plusProven experience in internal auditing, risk management, or related fields, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and auditing standards.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.Strong attention to detail and effective organizational skillsEffective interpersonal skills (work closely with management, auditees, external auditors, etc.)
