Your role at Baxter: Main objective of the position: Experienced and highly skilled Senior IT Asset Specialist responsible for managing functions within the IT Vendor Management Office, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing vendor performance and relationship management. What you'll be doing: Develop and implement IT asset lifecycle management strategies and processes.Analyze asset usage and performance to identify opportunities for optimization and cost saving, partnering with system owners to implement.Manage asset management improvement opportunities.Track and analyze the company's IT assets to ensure they're used efficiently and are compliant with software licenses.Conduct regular audits to ensure IT assets are accurately inventoried.Work closely with the IT department to understand technology needs and assets.Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of IT assets. When necessary, partnering with corporate procurement based on buying policy.Manage the disposal and replacement of obsolete or redundant IT assets.Provide regular reports on asset performance, cost, and lifecycle status
