**Job description**
**Position Overview**:
As a Magento and E-commerce Programmer, you will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of our Magento-based e-commerce platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of front-end and back-end functionalities, optimize performance, and enhance user experience.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Design, develop, and customize Magento-based e-commerce websites, themes, and extensions to meet business requirements.
- Implement and maintain integrations with third-party systems, payment gateways, and shipping providers.
- Optimize website performance, including page load times, server response times, and database queries.
- Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions to technical challenges.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, best practices, and technologies in e-commerce and Magento development.
- Collaborate with designers, marketers, and other stakeholders to deliver innovative and user-friendly online shopping experiences.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, data protection regulations, and industry best practices.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Magento development, including custom module development, theme integration, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web technologies.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce principles, including user experience design, conversion optimization, and online payment processing.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Magento certification(s) (e.g., Magento Certified Developer).
- Experience with other e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, or BigCommerce.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and website analytics tools.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
