Position Summary:This position is responsible for the design, implementation and continuous improvement of work cells in assembly or machining according to KPS standards. Essential Functions: Responsible for implementing process improvements leading manufacturing to improve cycle times, equipment down time, OEE, FTF, etc. Provides Manufacturing support to define, design and launch new lines. Influence technological changes to improve KPI's on the site. Develops and prepares capital projects to implement process improvement or strategies. Support plans and strategies to train engineers and technicians. Supports WCM on the site Supports Safety and Ergonomics/. Stops assembly lines and creates alternatives along with a multifunctional team if; Products Quality or Safety is compromised. Knows and communicates the need for product safety. Influence technological changes in manufacturing for ACU. The employee has the authority to stop the production line, when he/she notices that the product has a quality problem or defect. Support PSA Activities and procedures with team members Perform all those activities that by the nature of the position are required. Management & Supervisory Responsibilities: Reports to plant, lead or site engineering Manager. Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees. Co-ops or students may report to this position. Temporally, Manufacturing Engineers and Controls Engineer may report to this position. This position can temporally attend a power base if designated by the supervisor. Knowledge: Time and motion study and improvement, work balancing Failure mode and effect analysis Design for maintenance focus. Expert in programing (AB, Labview,Siemens), focus on improving existent programs to make them more effective/safer/faster. Measurement systems analysis Instrumentation expert Mechanicall Engineering Problem solving and Six Sigma methodologies Error Proof Systems. DMAIC methodology Data analysis and problem solving Advanced knowledge for Pneumatics and electronics Experience: Demonstrated experience working in manufacturing projects, problem solving, automation, equipment integration, pneumatics, electronics, maintenance, and mechanical engineering. Skills: Hands on Teamwork.
