Manufacturing Project Engineer Sr.
Support the startup and sustainability of the manufacturing COE (Center of Excellence) in Monterrey, Mexico. Coordination to transfer products and processes from various business units working in collaboration with various business units. This position will have the responsibility to implement the transfer product(s) and processes of the within the manufacturing COE site.
**Main Job Duties**:
Develops, trains, and motivates staff on a day-to-day basis, by using and creating standard operating procedures.
Develops, implements, and supports innovation and creative change.
Support equipment transfers and set up. Implement, monitor and report status of the project(s). Ensures training (intra and inter-departmental), and documentation are completed in an efficient and effective manner.
Responsible for development of internal proprietary communication, standard, documentation policies and procedures. Supports ISO or related quality system for engineering and manufacturing.
Supports system, accessories and equipment set up. Hardware and software development, bills of material.
Prototype testing, system integration testing, and compliance verification (UL (Underwriters Laboratories), FCC (Federal Communications Commission) or related and supports design for manufacturability and transition to manufacturing.
Project management for startup and ongoing support for the Monterrey, MX site.
Liaison between Monterrey site and other businesses to ensure smooth transition and launch of all approved projects.
Develop and execute training plans to ensure resources are available, competent, and projects are delivered on time and to ramp up expectations.
Coordinate turnover of product /processes to plant manager at appropriate stage.
Receive equipment and coordinate applicable activities working with the various business units/projects.
Manages engineering, quality, and CI staff. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring orientation, promotional and salary recommendations, planning, assigning, directing work, handling disciplinary actions, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Performs other similar and related duties as required/necessary.
**Qualifications**:
**Education**:
Bachelor's of engineering with emphasis in electrical or mechanical,
Master's in engineering or business is preferred.
**Experience**:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in manufacturing engineering including new product introduction and transfers.
**Skills/Knowledge/Abilities**:
Project management knowledge and skills. Must be able to manage multiple complex projects being coordinated for the site.
Advanced English
Experience in White Line companies
Knowledge in metalworking machines (Punching, Bending, Painting, Laser Welding, Spot Weld)
Technical knowledge for engineering design. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
Excellent skills in project management.
Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
