.Eaton's AER FED Fluid Electrical Distribution division is currently seeking a Sr Metal Stamping Product Engineer.**What you'll do**:**Primary Function**:The Metal Stamping Product Engineer will lead the development and launch of new products, processes, and design changes. This position will be the primary engineering contact, ensuring new product and changes to existing product meet EATON and Customer's metal stamping requirements.Works with a cross functional transition teams to ensure parts are successfully manufactured to an established plan, and thorough all phases defined by the organizationThe position drives continuous improvement while utilizing the framework of the Eaton Business System (EBS) and the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF). Directs the development and implementation of the Customer Requirements and the quality control programs**Essential Functions**:- Determines what equipment, materials, tooling, methods of manufacture and facilities are required to produce a particular product in a scheduled quantity and at the lowest cost consistent with quality specifications.- Develops tooling layouts for stamping dies.- Troubleshoot stamping dies for deep draw type products.- Work directly with tool designers and manufacturing engineers to develop new and more efficient dies to replace aging tooling.- Develops drawings and other engineering documentation to improve manufacturing processes and product quality for aerospace parts.- Provides technical support for cost saving projects.- Analyzes specifications and drawings to ensure that products are manufactured to the customer's requirements, and reviews statistical process control data to recommend appropriate actions.- Works with product engineering in the design phase of new products and redesign of existing products to ensure product manufacturability.- Develops standardized work instruction, setup procedures and supporting documentation.- Validate and define programs routines and tool & die changeover to obtain first run work piece within specified dimensional tolerances.- Defines and Coordinates pre-stage of all necessary items for die change.- Troubleshoots equipment failures and problems.- Monitors press for proper operation and reports any malfunctions or problems to maintenance.- Provide continuous training for stamping operators.- Complies with all environmentally safe practices and regulations.- Reads all MSDS' and possesses thorough knowledge of all oil and chemical labeling and storage requirements.- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.**Qualifications**:**Basic qualifications**:- Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.- 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering with an emphasis in stamping processes.- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills.- Working knowledge of current manufacturing techniques - tooling, metal stamping, assembly, and testing
