**Qualifications**
- BS or MS in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or similar
- 10+ years of manager experience in Engineers
- Strong knowledge in automation with proven experience
- Fluent in English both written and spoken
- Experience using SAP
- Six Sigma Black Belt desirable
- Have demonstrated strong leadership skills in leading larger teams
- Provide input on resolving key issues that directly impact the operation
- Determine best course of action to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems
- Adapt / make significant departures from traditional approaches to enhance quality or value in existing methods
- Strong understanding products, technical processes, operations and logistics
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Self-starter, willingness to make difficult decisions and hands-on
- Capability of creative, analytical and structured thinking with the ability to execute on priorities

**Responsibilities**
- Organize and manage all aspects of the development engineering tasks, plan and assign the engineering capacities, timelines and priorities accordingly
- Develop an automation strategy and automation team to increase process efficiencies.
- Work closely with engineering managers in other regions and countries to share resources, capabilities and equipment, common practices and information.
- Ensure effective and efficient work execution by employees
- Lead and develop Terminal and Connector development engineering strategy
- Determine priorities for optimal services
- Drive policy and manage department budget
- Develop, implement and manage systems and processes that lead to successful courses of development
- Own cost control for courses of development in order to achieve the aims set, within the available budget
- After approval, plan for the courses into the entire planning
- Have performed, monitor and adjusting development courses
- Measure, analyze and report about the department performances
- Provide for sufficient capacity and means
- Guard department budgets
- Take measures in disruptions and (quality related) problems
- Provide direction and coordinate the team, capacities and work flow
- Build highly motivated teams
- Guard progress and quality of the team's outcome
- Facilitate performance reviews and if needed improve work procedures, education and training
- Arrange leave, overtime etc.
