**About the role**

**Leads a large team of senior supplier development engineers and/or team leaders to develop and monitor supplier performance by establishing objectives and guidelines. Monitors critical business wide metrics and engages the senior management of key suppliers to initiate appropriate improvement programs to sustain high performance. Coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase the effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Direct and coordinate all efforts in the Supply Chain team to ensure supplier performance (SOTD, PPM) through preventive and corrective actions allowing an uninterrupted supply of materials to CARRER CMX sites.
- Develops skill within and outside the team with supplier development improvement tools including ACE tools, UPPAP, capacity assessments, production planning/control and recovery tools, and delivery/quality risk assessment tools to enhance the capabilities of the team(s).
- Engages senior management of key suppliers to initiate appropriate improvement programs to achieve and sustain high levels of performance.
- Develops and implements new processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of existing systems.
- Monitors critical business wide metrics and coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives in a timely manner.

**Goals**
- Lead, coordinate, organize, train, develop, supervise, and coach the Supplier Performance team
- Implement preventative and corrective measures to ensure on time delivery of materials
- Build, execute and enforce supplier recovery plans
- Serve as escalation to ensure supplier performance is met
- Monitor supplier capacity Vs Carrier demand and execute mitigation plans to ensure on time delivery of materials
- Provides regular updates to leadership on supplier performance status and recovery plans.
- Collaborates with Category Management, Material Planning, Supplier Quality to improve CMX Supply Chain Resiliency through Dual Source and VMI inventory planning

**Requirements**:

- +10 years of experience in manufacturing and operations.
- + 8 years of experience as a team manager.
- Material planning experience is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Experience in Carrier Excellence (Cx), lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and/or Six Sigma (certification preferred).
- This position requires travel to visit suppliers in Mexico and the USA (visa preferred).
- Advanced English.
