Sr. Process Engineer requires knowledge of Injection engineering techniques, to ensure the injection molding process is optimized, meets quality and output expectations, and complies with safety practices. First 6 to 12 months on the job responsible for the day-to-day activities within their assigned area for safety, quality, and production.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises the job performance of employees on assigned shifts, making sure their work runs on schedule and meets company standards for safety, quality, production, and waste.
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Develops and implements action plans to meet department goals in the areas of labor efficiency, labor utilization, housekeeping, and productivity improvements.
- Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, answering questions, and responding to requests.
- Works on continuous improvement projects.
- Perform regular daily audits of key processes to ensure optimum process performance.
- Measures and evaluates employee performance according to company standards for quality, productivity, and career advancement. - Ensure that there is an adequate distribution of skills to enable the production plan to be achieved effectively.
- Actively builds leads and production employee skill set to create a cross functional workforce and increase efficiencies.
- Stimulate teamwork within his/her departments. Creates a fair and positive environment that fosters a solid work ethic and maintains a good team attitude within the group.
Experiência y requisitos
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Plastics Engineering, or related field
- Bilingual - English / Spanish
- 3+ years of manufacturing or equivalent work experience
- Exposure to a manufacturing/distribution environment
- Demonstrated leadership ability. - Proven track record of individual accomplishment, contribution, and teamwork success.
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Creative and innovative problem solver; able to provide ideas for technical and/or organizational improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
- Experience in plastic injection molding
- Ability to travel to the United States of America
- MS Office and ability to learn other systems (SAP) - Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Self-motivated with high sense of urgency, resourcefulness, and adaptability
- Ability to use systematic approach for Root Cause Analysis and demonstrated knowledge of systems/processes to ensure data driven decisions. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in business, Engineering, or related field
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience
- Familiarity with Plastic Molding SW CAE
