Job Responsibilities Estimating what products and services are needed and issuing regular purchase orders.Digitizing transactions to automate low-value-added processes and get a better overview of expenditure.Using Punchout catalogs to directly link the buyer's e-procurement system to the supplier's site.Procure and manage inventory: Place orders, track deliveries, and ensure the company has the necessary items when it needs them.Negotiate with suppliers: Work with suppliers to get competitive pricing, consistent quality, and timely delivery.Balance cost, quality, and supply: Ensure the company's operations can continue without interruption by balancing these factors.Develop spares lists: Work with maintenance to create spares lists for new equipment.Support corporate sourcing: Participate in initiatives to drive cost savings.Provide parts and supplies consulting: Assist departments with specifying and purchasing parts and supplies.Quote, place and follow up on all MRO purchase orders.Propose and select alternative vendors.Log vendor performance.Purchase supplies for tool crib area when minimum inventory is reached.Check suppliers' reliability.Report discrepancies on purchase orders.Perform online bids according to annual program and when cost reduction opportunities are visualized.Document files should be kept always updated.Reports and other activities as required within the department.Qualifications Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and prices with suppliers.Analytical thinking to analyze supplier performance and market trends to make informed purchasing decisions.Attention to detail to maintain accurate records and inventory management to ensure that supplies are always available.Effective communication to build relationships with suppliers and working with internal teams.Technical knowledge in understanding equipment and materials used in the company's operations for making informed MRO procurement decisions.Bilingual Spanish – English for Mexican & US Purchases.College Degree.Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.Basic knowledge of administration concepts.Basic knowledge in following up and expediting orders.Able to handle stress.Teamwork.Preferred Qualifications Decision making – Make good and timely decisions on purchases and deliveries to comply with the organization's needs.Effective communication – With vendors and internal requestors to provide the correct and best materials available in the market.Our Commitment to Our People Across the globe, we are united by a singular Purpose: Sustainability is no small ambition.
