Job DescriptionPrimary Function of Position This position requires Manufacturing Engineering Planning Analysis experience (not materials or Finished goods). A Sr. Planning Analyst will blend the responsibilities of a Production Planner, Project Coordinator, and Business Intelligence Analyst into a cohesive role. This position will be pivotal in optimizing production processes, managing projects from inception to completion, and leveraging data-driven insights to enhance business performance. It will be accountable for driving the design, development, and integration of Production Planning solutions and associated applications. The position will provide leadership in functional design, implementation, and help of the Production Planning application.
The position is seeking a creative and flexible individual with a mastery of ERP systems, and a high level of experience in manufacturing, Production Planning & Scheduling, Project Management, and developing and maintaining BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support decision-making. This position requires strong analytical skills, detailed communication, along with being a team player, self-starter, and possessing a can-do attitude.
Essential Job Duties Applying knowledge of concepts and best practices of planning to develop solutions to a variety of problems, particularly with supply constraints.Capable of developing comprehensive production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resources.Identify potential supply risks and inventory exposures by aligning supply chain processes with production plan milestones/targets.Illuminate impact to supply continuity for Finished Goods Inventory (FGI).Perform capacity analysis to support what-if scenarios, forecast changes, and plan for production growth. Escalate where necessary to management.Provide mentorship through tactical training to team members to improve their skill sets in Sustaining planning.Lead efforts to create and/or update work instructions (WI) & Departmental Operating Procedures (DOP).Monitor and report project status for project milestones, documentation, and deliverables.Support/Lead team meetings including taking minutes and tracking action items.Track issues and coordinate last minute changes.Gather business requirements and determine the most effective and efficient reporting methods.Analyze/Model data and build comprehensive reports and dashboards that evaluate business effectiveness and impact.Present insights and recommendations to management for decision making and strategic planning.Drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through effective collaboration with stakeholders.Partner with architecture and solution delivery teams to enable reports that maintain long-term value.Provide leadership in functional design, implementation, and help of the Production Planning applications.Perform deep data analysis to translate complex business information to actionable system activities; recommend best practices; and present associated technical process components.Investigate, research, and evaluate new applications and/or technologies and application integrations that will improve business productivity.Calculate and communicate Forecast Demand to support projects as needed.Ability to maintain and develop Smartsheet to manage and drive metric reporting in a wide range of utilization for the Planning organization.
