****The Role**Key activities include:- Building compelling, interactive, and actionable reporting on top of structured data models- Staying abreast of Power BI capabilities, understanding how those capabilities can be leveraged for our clients- Educating other Inviso Power BI developers on Power BI best practices, useful patterns, and new features- Analyzing new/disparate data sources to integrate with existing datasets to tell a comprehensive story with data- Migrating BI solutions based on non-Power BI technologies (e.G., Tableau, QlikView, etc.)
to Power BI- Leading customer workshops on the Power BI Adoption Framework - Adoption, Governance, Security, etc.- Working with customers to understand their business needs and translate them into written requirements which can be understood by technical and non-technical audiences- Supporting the full BI lifecycle from requirements analysis through design & development and on into release and support/maintenance phases**Qualifications**:**Key Qualities**- Critical & creative thinking- Self-motivated with ability to work effectively with limited supervision- Enthusiasm for collaboration and continued learning- Comfortable with ambiguous requests, and adept at translating them into detailed work plans and deliverables- Strong work ethic and attention to detail- Relaxed, positive attitude under pressure- Strong communication, team, and customer skills- Must speak and write fluently in English.
**Required Skills & Experience**- 5+ years as a Business Intelligence professional- Deep experience designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining visually appealing reporting solutions with Microsoft Power BI- Experience working directly with customers to understand business needs & priorities, define release roadmaps, and create estimates- Experience translating business needs into clear requirements and technical designs- DAX and M development experience (time intelligence, table functions, scalar functions, evaluation context, etc
