ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Senior Expert specialized in several areas of knowledge regarding production / manufacturing processes in an entity (SPS: process design, ergonomics, capacity, simulation tools, investment, cost analysis, performance etc...)
· Ensure the quality of data controlled by the Plant information systems (integrity, compatibility & consistency).
· Accountable for data consistency in information systems
· Drive the MRP data cleansing for legacy & new systems or products implementation
· Ensure identification of opportunities to improve system architecture (all systems, towards Digitization)
· Design brand new stand alone & Web based automated solutions for diverse processes among different functional areas
· Select, validate, introduce & standardize new automation & test technologies / processes at the Site
· Ensure the automation, connectivity (Edge control, MES, LDS, Analytics), implementation & qualification of the manufacturing processes in accordance with the Principles of SPS.
· Development of appropriate software and process documentation including training of end users when needed.
· Migrate & document existing Digital Tools into a more robust Software Platform.
· Aid in the design of test & process electromechanical solutions for new product introduction programmes using a systems approach and standard operating platforms where applicable, in line with engineering technical requirements.
· Support in defining and purchasing test & process equipment, driving suppliers to reduce cost and improve performance.
· Perform failure analysis on software & equipment on a regular basis to implement cost effective improvements necessary to assure the highest possible process and equipment reliability.
· Prepare procurement documentation including equipment & software specifications and coordinate equipment upgrades and / or installations with suppliers and internal personnel.
· Lead benchmarking studies of new manufacturing technology for existing processes
· Support capital budgeting decisions and prepare appropriation requests for capital equipment acquisitions
· Lead capital equipment acquisition, acceptance, installation, commissioning and launch process
· Provide technical support as required in Operations
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: · BSME or BSIE with 5+ years manufacturing engineering experience (MBA preferred)
· Software development proficiency on at least 2 High Level Programming Languages
· PLC or Arduino programming experience with sensors integration highly desired
· AS/400 backbone fundamentals (JDE experience preferred)
· Additive Manufacturing experience
· Ability to develop and accurately document processes & Source Code
· Experience with Test Equipment & Communication Devices
· Experience with competitive bidding and supplier selection
· Familiarity with Resistance (Spot) Welding, Wire Cutting / Stamping and Mechanical Assembly processes
· Ability to design special tooling, develop automated manufacturing processes, and assess new manufacturing technologies
· Experience interfacing with product development, manufacturing operations, quality and finance functions
· Highly adaptable with the ability to learn and apply new skills quickly
· Possesses a strong work ethic and sets high standards for quality and quantity of work
· Promotes data-driven decision making and consensus building
· Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
· Experience in a low volume, high mix environment
