We're looking for a Product Designer to help craft polished, user-focused experiences that enable our users in making data-informed decisions. You'll also be playing a critical role in evolving our design language at Heap!Our team is distributed across the world. You'll be working with product and engineering team members across the globe and collaborate within a set period of core hours, with a work day consistent with EST timezone.JOB DESCRIPTION:You will likely be working across two areas. Firstly, you will be collaborating closely with the growth team on improving the trial experience, with product leadership to explore and define new functionality and flows across the product analytics platform, and with the wider team to deliver this work by helping prioritize incremental deliverables and validate what is being built. As part of this, we expect you to do summative research to support you to iterate and improve the designs. Design leadership will support you to do this, but the designer is responsible for ensuring that their designs meet user needs. You will also be expected to participate in frequent design reviews and critiques with designers, product teams, and leadership.As you will be collaborating closely with product and other areas of the business, we expect you to have experience of working in high-functioning product trios. Communication skills are vital as we are a remote company and often work asynchronously. However, we do need you to be available in the ED Timezone in order to enable efficient collaboration.We expect our designers to be engaged with the strategy of the business in their work so that the solutions they deliver impact our key metrics, so a deep strategic ability aligned with craft skills is key for this role.In addition to delivering key features and functionality for the Product Analytics area of our business, we will also need you to work alongside our Design System team. We have a set of projects associated with evolving our design system and design language to be more consistent across products and features, including evolving our brand and updating visual styles with new colors, fonts, etc.This means you will need superb UI craft skills and experience in working with Design Systems teams to define bottom-up requirements for componentry and interface patterns. We use Figma and Storybook to deliver our Design System.Other tools used for this role are Dovetail, Jira, Miro, and Slack
