Purpose of the position
The Product Line Specialist is an integral member of the rapidly growing MultiPorts and Drops product line as part of the Product Line Management team.
The Product Line Specialist is in the center of the day:

Job Description and Responsibilities
FTTX and adjacent markets (growth trends, market sizing, and demand forecasting):
Competitive environment (what differentiates us from the competition, and why customers do/do not choose Corning products):
Manufacturing process (capacity and capabilities, costs, and constraints):
New product development and introduction (ideation and scope of new projects, commercialization)
You will use that knowledge to:
Align and prioritize production output to critical commercial initiatives, acting as a main point of contact between Customer Service, Sales staff, and Plant Operations team members.

Accurately forecast future demand, and build effective capacity strategies to meet that demand:
Commercialize new products, including developing and communicating value propositions, spec sheets, and other collateral for our sales teams to promote and sell the product:
Communicate customer requirements and needs to new product development projects:
Appropriately price products for various opportunities, taking into consideration the competitive environment, the value our solutions provide the customer, and our cost position and margin requirements

Successful Product Line Specialists will have:

Strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt the message to different audiences (i.e.
production vs. design engineers vs. sales):

Ability to conduct complex numerical analysis, and build data models in Excel or other tools:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or business:
Previous experience in telecommunications or high:
