Job Description
As a PM Specialist (for Software Development), you will be responsible to manage the internal and external stakeholders.
You will handle the Project responsibility for the platform / customer project; and will be a key member on the ramp-up face for SoP.
You will also be responsible to manage the human resources assigned to the project ; and escalate any problem or concerns internally.
The main responsibilities for this position are:
- Overall responsibility for the results of the project work, this includes: Technical Specification, Development Costs, Product Costs, Timing, and Project Quality.
- Leading a cross-functional team with focus on problem solving
- Successful development in quality, time and costs
- Project planning, tracking and making sure all activities are completed in time and cost; manage the resources as necessary.
- Ensure the project plan being achievable and the timelines aligned with the validation plans.
Also ensure risk plan and mitigation strategy exists and it's up to date.
- Stakeholder management and main interface between the GB project team, local mechanical team and OEM.
- Monthly status reporting and escalation (if needed) to stakeholders, project sponsor, and any other.
- Interface to the customer to align project management to the technical expectations.
- Single point of contact for all change projects (start to implementation) and Preparation of forecast projects.
Qualifications
Required
6+ years' experience in automotive Industry - Product development
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical field
Preferred
Capable to work independently in an organized and structured fashion with strong analytical skills that supports a systematic approach to problem resolution and strong communication skills to discuss issues/challenges with global development teams and external customers.
Experience with vehicle and system test and release procedures in automotive or related industry.
Experience in systems / requirements engineering.
Ability to structure, moderate and promote collaboration with international teams, negotiate with customer, support global organization, and understanding with working in global multicultural projects.
Hands on experience with Agile development methods (SCRUM, Kanban, Lean, etc.)
- Thorough and hands on understanding in the product development lifecycle
Good written / verbal communication and presentation skills to discuss issues / solutions with team and external customer.
Experience with a safety critical product preferred
