TE Connectivity's Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.

**Responsibilities and authority**
- Active participation in process analysis, new product/process validation, design reviews and Safe Launch activities.
- Prepare PSW and Control Plans and conduct Process Capability and GR&R studies as part of PPAP submissions.
- Coordinate client's demands/complaints
- Responsible of the voice of the Customer feedback
- Responsible of execute APQP & Run-rate events.
- Follow-up to corrective actions.
- Participates with multidisciplinary Team for scrap disposition and corrective action.
- Controls manufacturing process to maximize quality improvement, improved efficiency and cost reduction.
- Troubleshoots assembly and/or machining equipment as required to meet quality and production requirements.
- Creates and maintains controlled documents such as Control Plan, PFMEA, Operator Work Instruction, In-Process Inspection, Equipment Check Sheet, etc
- Participates with multidisciplinary Team in APQP, FMEA, DOE, 8D, PSO y FTQ.
- Conducts SPC, CPK, Gage R&R and time study as required.
- Leads cross-functional team for solving quality problems by using root-cause analysis tools.
- Supports IATF16949 and ISO 14000 audits. Participate in Internal and external audits.
- Interpret engineering drawings and standards
**Requirements**:
- Engineering Degree
- +3 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, statistics, control plans.
- Experience as Quality Engineer in IATF 16949 automotive environment.
- Experience using customer portals
- Experience in an automotive regulated environment (Tier 1 and OEM). Preferred
**Specific qualification, knowledge and skills**
- Advance English (written and spoken)
- Master molding certified / Certified Qlty engineer
- Problem Solving methodologies.
- Working Knowledge of SPC, Capability Analysis, Gage R&R
- Demonstrated ability and skills to support quality engineering development activities, continuous improvement initiatives and quality management tools.
- Hands on experience with tools of IATF 16949 especially Core tools, Root Cause Analysis.
- Experience with solidwork, autocad or other design software strongly desirable.
- Must be able to understand and interpret blueprints.
- Proficiency in working with Microsoft Office tools and other software products.
- Travel within US, Mexico and other international locations as required.
- People and conflict management is a plus.
- Knowledge applicable to the position in IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.
